Amy Rief, DVM
Dr. Rief's Bio
Dr. Amy Rief was born and raised in Columbus, NE, where she graduated from Columbus Scotus High School. Before veterinary school, Dr. Rief received her veterinary technician license from the University of Nebraska’s College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis, NE, in 2008. From there, she worked as a licensed veterinary technician while acquiring her bachelor’s degree in veterinary technology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Dr.Rief attended and graduated veterinary school at Iowa State University in 2014. She began working in the veterinary field at the age of fifteen and has worked in every aspect of a veterinary hospital, including a kennel worker, veterinary assistant, receptionist, groomer, licensed veterinary technician, and veterinarian. She has wanted to become a veterinarian since she knew what one was! Dr. Rief’s special interests include preventative medicine, internal medicine, and dentistry.
Kim A. Ehlers, DVM
Dr. Ehlers' Bio
Dr. Kimberly Ehlers was born and raised on a farm near Lindsay, NE, and graduated from Newman Grove High School. She attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and graduated in 1993 with a bachelor of science in animal science with minors in chemistry and biology. She then attended veterinary school at Kansas State University and received her DVM degree in 1999. Dr. Ehlers began working at Parkview as an assistant in 1993 while in college, and then started here as a veterinarian in 1999.
Rick R. Sitzman, DVM
Dr. Sitzman's Bio
Dr. Rick “Doc” Sitzman has been at Parkview for 30 years. He was born and raised in Scottsbluff, NE. Doc started his college career at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, where he majored in zoology with minors in math and chemistry. From there, he joined the Navy and trained to be a hospital corpsman and a laboratory technician. After his time with the Navy, he returned to UNL to earn another degree in animal science and then went on to the University of Minnesota, where he earned his DVM. Throughout school, his favorite part was always being able to do hands-on learning. Today it hasn’t changed much. Dr. Sitzman enjoys the variety of patients and projects that are never the same day to day.

Kristen Olsen, LVT
Linda Bowers, LVT
Linda is a licensed veterinary technician (LVT) and joined Parkview Animal Hospital in September 2019. Linda was born and raised in the small Northeast Nebraska community of Decatur and currently resides in Lincoln, NE. She attended Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis, NE, where she earned her degree to become an LVT, and soon after, she received her bachelor’s in veterinary technology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Linda joined our team with twelve years of experience as a licensed veterinary technician and spent nine of those years with the Lincoln Children’s Zoo.
Linda shares her home with her dog Jayda, a Bernese Mountain Dog x Great Pyrenees, and Julian, a cat she bottle-raised since he a week old! She enjoys going to the gym, doing fun runs, cooking, watching Husker volleyball, and attending events with Jayda. Linda has two older sisters in Lincoln, and her mom lives back home in Decatur, NE.
Laura began working at Parkview Animal Hospital in November 2017. She was born and raised in Lincoln, NE. Laura attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and graduated with a bachelor of science in fisheries and wildlife. She previously worked for two years in the veterinary field before starting her education. Laura is the proud momma of a seven-year-old son named Bradley. She also has a Maltese mix named Rex and a Tortoiseshell cat named Callie. In her spare time, Laura enjoys gardening, traveling with her son, reading, and enjoying the many fun family activities that Lincoln offers.
